We could see Danny and Becka together in the series premiere, but how did it end in The Couple Next Door season 1 finale? Would they be able to make it work?

At the start of The Couple Next Door, we saw Becka and Danny together in the woods. Did that mean that Becka would be able to forgive all of Danny’s lies? Well, not necessarily. The series actually ended with some ambiguity for this story.
There were a lot of lies to come out, and I don’t think all of them did. However, it’s clear that Becka wanted to make it work.
Danny had to share all his secrets in The Couple Next Door
The finale brought all of Danny’s secrets and lies out. The first was Lena, who was a fling before Becka and not an affair. Then there was Evie and her pregnancy, and the fact that he slept with her again. I’m glad Danny shared all the lies with Becka when she asked because Evie was quick to bring as many of them as she could up to throw the couple off.
Becka made it clear that she needed to know the full truth if they wanted any chance of making their marriage work. However, she didn’t forgive Danny by the end of it. She made it look like they were a united front in front of Evie, but that wasn’t the case, and there was a lot going on between them.
Danny felt unworthy of Becka
Part of the issue was the way Danny felt unworthy of Becka. He has always felt like she’s too good for him, and he ends up messing up because of that. This is clearly a concern for Becka, because she doesn’t think she’s too good for Danny. She wants him to own his mistakes and be honest with her, though.
Danny does want to be with Becka, though. He makes it clear to both Evie and Pete that even if Becka doesn’t want him after all of this, he wants her. She is the only one for him in terms of marriage and a long-term relationship.
The season ends with hope for Becka and Danny. The two could potentially make things work, but they will need to be open and honest with each other. Their swingers lifestyle may be off the cards after everything that’s happened because there is no trust anymore.
