Lord John Grey visits Brianna in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 91
Brianna and Lord John Grey discuss the siege in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 91. Of course, the two have different opinions on what will happen.
Lord John Grey is sure that the British will win. Up to this point in history, it’s understandable why he is so certain in the power of the British. The Crown has taken down rebellions so many times in the past. Yet, Brianna knows that this time is different.
That doesn’t mean that Brianna is all that certain about things that will happen. Yes, she knows Frank’s history book had to be accurate, but she is living the history right now. It’s very different when you’re in the thick of it.
I don’t see too much in the way of foreshadowing. It’s more about plot development as Bree worries about Roger—is anyone else surprised by John having to ask about Roger?
As for it being used in the TV series, I would love to see it happen. I’ll get to my thoughts on whether it will or not in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 91.
