Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter continues the story for the Hardmans. I think it’s about bringing enough closure to that story for everyone to be able to move on, so the Murrays can head back to Fraser’s Ridge.

This chapter also shows the audacity of Gabriel, who wants to pick and choose the parts of the Mohawk way of life to follow. I love that Silvia has the courage to stand her ground and that Ian is on her side to protect her.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

The chapter probably won’t be used in the TV series. I just don’t think there will be enough time in the season to bring the Hardman story into it. The focus if this Murray storyline is used should be on Rachel meeting Emily and then Emily naming Oggy. It could also include Ian’s son going back with him and Rachel.

With just 10 episodes in Outlander Season 8, it’s going to be hard to fit it all in. The Hardman storyline isn’t all that important in the grand scheme of things, so I don’t mind if it’s skipped. I would like to see closure for Emily and Ian, though.
