Ian helps Silvia as she sees Gabriel again in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 88

There is a lot of tension throughout Outlander Book 9, Chapter 88. Young Ian needs to help deal with the Hardman situation.

The chapter starts with Rachel taking Oggy away as she can’t spend the night around Emily. That’s only understandable. It wouldn’t be easy to share a place with your husband’s first wife, who he didn’t choose to leave.

However, the rest of the chapter is focused on the Hardman storyline. Ian needs to help Silvia deal with the tension and anger that she feels as her daughters see Gabriel.

This chapter is really more about dealing with the Silvia storyline in a way that suits everyone. It brings closure to everything that has gone on rather than foreshadowing anything.

I doubt it will be used in the TV series, though. I’ll get to my thoughts on this in the adaptation section, but you know I’ve discussed the Hardman storyline before. I just don’t see any of it being used.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 88.
