Was the Bridgerton Season 3 release date leaked again?
While Bridgerton Season 3 was initially expected in 2023, we have to wait until 2024. And now it looks like we know when the release will be.
Leaking release dates is certainly one way to keep a show on the minds of fans. However, when a date is leaked, it should be the date. This isn’t the first time we’ve had an insight into when Bridgerton Season 3 is expected to come out.
During the TUDUM event in June 2023, the Netflix Portugal account leaked that the third season of the period romance series would arrive on Dec. 14, 2023. Well, it turned out that wouldn’t happen. Of course, the SAG-AFTRA strike likely has something to do with that.
Now What’s on Netflix caught that the official Twitter account had updated its banner to share the release date. It’s later than we’d like, but at least we get an idea of when it could happen.
When will Bridgerton Season 3 come to Netflix?
It looks like we’ll have to wait until the spring. According to the banner, which has since been removed, the season is set to come out in two parts. With other shows being released in two parts, that’s not all too surprising.
The first half of the season is expected on May 16, 2024. Then the second half of the season will come out a month later on June 13, 2024.
Why would Netflix want to release content in two parts? This is all due to subscriptions. Releasing content in a binge-watch means that people sill subscribe for one month, watch the show, and then unsubscribe. Opting for a release across two months means that Bridgerton fans will need two months of Netflix to watch the entire season. The streamer has done it with a few shows including Stranger Things, You, and The Crown.
Whether the release date is right or not is another thing. It was on the official account, though.
