Quantum Leap Season 2 aired its fall finale last night, Wednesday, Dec. 6. When will the series return with new episodes on NBC?

Quantum Leap Season 2, Episode 7 took us to the furthest point in the past that Ben has been. We were treated to the gossip and persecution of witches in 1692 Salem. Yes, Ben had to face the Salem Witch Trials in the body of a girl up against the odds.

The series will certainly capture the hearts of fans as we see the messaging behind the episode. The ending also left us wanting and needing more. Some bad news is that that was the last episode of 2023.

Quantum Leap is now on its winter break. This is the normal time of year for a fall show, even without the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes causing disruption to network TV. Now eyes are on when the show will return.

When is Quantum Leap back in 2024?

NBC has announced that the majority of its shows are back in January 2024. However, Quantum Leap is not on the list.

The season managed to get seven episodes filmed and post-produced before all the strike action put a hold on Hollywood. Production has started up, but NBC has decided not to bring this show back right away. There are a lot of other shows to return to our networks, including the One Chicago lineup, which takes over all of Wednesday night.

It is possible that NBC will bring the series back around March. The shows that are normal fall shows will have between 10 and 13 episodes. With a January start and a planned May finish, that means there will be a break around March for a couple of weeks. The best way to fill the schedule is with Quantum Leap Season 2’s remaining episodes.

Quantum Leap is available to stream on Peacock.
