Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with Jamie bringing Claire some alcohol. The first three are the last of Jamie’s whiskey for now. The fourth is a lesser quality whiskey that will be good for patients. The whiskey is from Mrs. Patton’s husband, but he only drinks beer so won’t be concerned about the quality of the whiskey.

The fact that this is the last of the whiskey from Jamie has Claire concerned. This is where their money mostly comes from. Is this a hint that they are running into financial troubles? Jamie doesn’t seem all that concerned about it.

The chapter ends with Jamie handing Claire something he has made. He thought it was a toy for Amanda or Oggy and put his initials on it. However, Claire points out that this is a pessary for Auld Mam, and she explains what that is. Claire notes that it comes from a conversation she had with Roger in an earlier chapter, but I don’t remember this conversation.

Anyway, Jamie is embarrassed and takes the item away. He’ll need to sand his initials off it.
