Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I did wonder if the Vasquez storyline would foreshadow something, but I don’t remember him coming up again in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone. There is a chance that he pops back up again in the 10th book. After all, there was a lot of information for someone we don’t know and who doesn’t really seem to matter.

This chapter was more about pushing Silvia’s storyline forward, though, I think. It connects to Ian’s storyline to find Emily.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I still don’t see Silvia’s story being used in the TV series. I’m in two minds about whether Young Ian will go to the brothel. There’s a chance that this is something we’re caught up on in a conversation at some point instead of being shown it on the screen.

There is just going to be so little time, and this book leaves so many loose threads. They’ll need to be wrapped up in Outlander Season 8 as it’s the final season, so I could see the focus of this part on just being to bring closure to the Ian/Emily storyline and the rest of it being overlooked for the bigger stories that involve Jamie and Claire, Bree and Roger, and William.
