Outlander Book Club: Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 80 breakdown
Rachel gets disappointing news from Friends in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 80
We see an unusual side to Rachel at the start of Outlander Book 9, Chapter 80. We also get information about Jane and Fanny.
The chapter starts with Rachel being uncharacteristically angry. She even throws food at a tree. It turns out that the Friends won’t take Silvia in after all, looking down on her for what she did to survive.
Meanwhile, Young Ian learns more about Jane and Fanny. He even gets the name of a ship captain who sold Fanny and Jane to the brothel. Could we get one step closer to finding out about the girls’ family and what happened?
This chapter doesn’t foreshadow all that much. It’s really just about plot development, especially for how Silvia and her girls will be looked after considering everything that has happened. We also get a look at the hypocrisy of Friends in the area.
I don’t think all of this will be used in the TV series, though. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section, but it’s nothing that I haven’t said before about this part of the book story.
Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 80.
