Outlander Book Club: Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 79 breakdown
Ian heads out on the task Claire requested in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 79
While Rachel takes Siliva to Friends, Young Ian heads to a brothel in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 79.
We get to see Rachel and Young Ian separate again as they handle their own tasks. It’s not like Young Ian can join his wife on her task at hand, anyway. She needs to do this alone to get the best outcome for the Hardmans.
Plus, Young Ian has his own task. Claire had asked him to find a brothel while he was in the north, and that’s just what he’s going to do now. I love Rachel’s comment in this chapter about Ian having too many women. It just shows her personality but also her defenses when it comes to her heart.
It doesn’t foreshadow too much for me, though. This chapter is more about tackling two particular storylines, although I guess Rachel’s comment could foreshadow something small for Ian and Rachel. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.
I’m in two minds as to whether we’ll see this chapter used in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation part of the post.
Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 79.
