Bree turns to Roger for support in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 73

Roger and Fergus return home in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 73. Now it’s time for Bree and Roger to lean on each other for support.

Some of these quiet moments are among my favorites. They show us how the characters have grown individually and as couples. This is one of those moments that shows us how much Roger and Bree have grown together as a couple.

In the past, Bree probably would have hidden what happened to her at the dock from Roger. Instead, she’s told him everything and she turned to him for support. Roger could have said the wrong thing, but he found a good way to recover from himself almost putting his foot in it. Bree could have reacted, but instead, she listened to everything he had to say.

The chapter doesn’t really foreshadow anything to come, I don’t think. It’s more about focusing on the couple together. We’d spent the majority of Written in My Own Heart’s Blood with the two apart, so we need these quieter moments of them together in Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone.

As for the moment being used in the adaptation, I don’t think it will be. I’ll share why I think that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 73.
