Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter lets us know where we are in the Revolutionary War. It shares what’s to come in terms of that, but that’s something we can get from history books. This chapter isn’t really about what’s to come, but about what Fergus knows.

It’s such an important chapter. I’ve hated that some of these big moments have been off-page. These moments need to be on-page so that we can experience them. I’m really glad that we get Fergus’s story of what he knows and how.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

This is a chapter that I would love to see used in the TV series. I would love to find out that Fergus knows things, but that he wasn’t actually told outright. I think he should have been, but I can understand why, at first, nobody said anything. I love that it’s Roger who is able to share something and Fergus trusts Roger enough to share how he found out.

The problem is Marsali and Fergus aren’t a big part of the story in the show, right now. I makes me think that we won’t get to see any of this play out. I would just love for the show to confirm if Fergus and Marsali know about time travel or not.
