There are more and more shows focused on Old Money and New Money. There’s focus on the lives of women in the 19th century, and that’s something The Buccaneers follows.
The series is set in the 1870s and opens with a wedding. Conchita Clossen is marrying into a rich British family, and she thinks that she’s leaving her friends behind. However, her American friends end up in London on the hunt to gain a good marriage. After all, that’s all women at the time are good for, right?
We follow the lives of five American girls. They are all determined to do well in life, but that doesn’t mean that they want to lose who they are. Their ambitious and exciting way of life clashes with the Upper Class in London, a country that is known for its stiff upper lip. Lock up your Lords, people!
When are new episodes of The Buccaneers on Apple TV+?
The series has already premiered on Apple TV+. Three episodes dropped at once, which is a little different to most of the Apple Original shows. After that, we get one episode per week.
Also a little different is that this series drops on a Wednesday on the network. This helps to prevent a clash with Lessons in Chemistry and For All Mankind, both currently airing weekly on the streaming platform.
Episodes drop at 12 a.m. PT/3 a.m. ET on Wednesdays. The finale will air on Wednesday, Dec. 13.
