For All Mankind Season 3 left many with the presumption that Margo died in the explosion. That wasn’t the case, as For All Mankind Season 4 shows.
At the end of For All Mankind Season 3, many characters believed that Margo was one of the casualties at the Johnson Space Center. Of course, we knew she wasn’t. She’d effectively defected to the Soviet Union, although it wasn’t completely by choice. She had to make the best of a bad situation she’d put herself in after selling secrets to the Soviets for so long.
With the time jump to the For All Mankind Season 4 premiere, we had a lot of questions about where characters would end up. One of those was Margo, who we know was heading to Serbia for protection via the people who were blackmailing her in the first place. How did that turn out?
What happened to Margo in the For All Mankind Season 4 premiere?
We now get a look behind the Iron Curtain. While the fourth season premiere made it clear that the now-President Al Gore declared the Cold War over, there is still an Iron Curtain, and we need to see what life is like in the Soviet Union. Margo is our way into that.
Her life opens very similarly to the way her life at Johnson Space Center opened in the Season 3 premiere. The only difference is her lack of piano and her name change. She is now Margaret Reynolds, and she has to live the way that the Russians expect her to. She uses the International Tribune to keep up with affairs and has spent the last few years assimilating into the way of life, even speaking Russian.
Is she safe, though? The ending with the woman on the park bench certainly makes it clear that it’s not over for Margo, but how is that story going to play out?
How long until the Americans find out that she didn’t perish in the bombing at the end of the third season? We’re ready to see what’s in store for this polarizing character in For All Mankind Season 4.
For All Mankind Season 4 airs Fridays on Apple TV+.
