Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

I don’t see all that much foreshadowing in the chapter. This is about two women on different sides of a war preparing the best way they can. Claire knows that the war is going to reach them, and I think it’s all in what Mrs. Cunningham says about General Cornwallis. We don’t really need the book to know that this is coming up. We know that the story is focused on the Revolutionary War.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I’m in two minds about whether the Cunningham storyline is going to be used in the TV series, especially in great detail. I have a feeling that it’s going to be on a smaller scale as there is so much to fit in. I don’t think we’ll get the Mrs. Cunningham moments, and that will be disappointing. I’ve really enjoyed seeing who Mrs. Cunningham is this time reading through the book.

There are only 10 episodes to the final season, though. That’s going to make it difficult to fit a lot in. So, some of these moments will need to be cut out or condensed in a way that still allows for the right flow of the story.
