Jamie has a request of Ian in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 62

We get to hear a little more about Frank’s book in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 62. It’s leads to Jamie requesting something of Young Ian.

I love the way Jamie and Young Ian have grown. Jamie took his nephew under his wing, sending him out on a few dangerous missions but nothing too dangerous. His intention was to always get Young Ian back home safe, but those plans changed. It’s clear that America has made Ian the man that he is today, and Jamie has come to respect that.

The two rely on each other for a few needs. Ian is always there should Jamie ask of something, and that happens in this chapter. Jamie has one request when it comes to an upcoming battle, and all that comes from Frank’s book.

This chapter certainly seems to foreshadow things, but I think it’s more about setting up the plot. Jamie Fraser is a popular name, so I don’t think it foreshadows too much. Just that Frank may have got the wrong man.

As for the adaptation, I expect to see this part used in the TV series. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section of this post.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 62.
