Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter helps to bring a little bit of closure to Murtagh’s storyline. We already had some of the story, but now we get more of it and find out how Murtagh ended up back at Culloden. The chapter also offers us a look at the way Jenny and Jamie both knew of Murtagh’s feelings for Ellen.

It doesn’t really foreshadow anything, though. It’s more about containing the story for Jenny to go with Rachel and Young Ian.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

While I do think the Young Ian and Rachel storyline will be adapted, I’m not sure about this chapter in particular. You see, we already know of Murtagh’s death, and it wasn’t at Culloden in the show. Instead, it happened at the Battle of Alamance. So, a lot of the discussion would need to be cut.

We could see the whole chapter skipped over or moved to a different part of the show. After all, it’s not the most important part for the plotline at this point.
