Jenny and Jamie have a good talk in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 58

We learn more about Murtagh’s death in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 58. It turns out Jamie shared things with Jenny right after Culloden.

Up to this point, Jamie has only had a few flashes of Culloden. His memories come back here and there, but it’s clear that his brain is trying to protect him a little. However, he wants to remember some of it, and Jenny is here to help with that.

We also get to see the bond between brother and sister again. It’s been hard seeing them separated and then feeling tension between the two of them. I love that we get to see everyone now at peace and all together.

This chapter just helps to continue the plot for Young Ian, Rachel, and Jenny. It’s clear that Jenny is worried that something could happen, but I don’t feel like this foreshadows anything. It’s just more about Jenny being a practical woman.

What about using this in the adaptation? There are certain elements that can’t be used, but we could still see some of it. I’ll get to my thoughts on this in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 58.
