Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly foreshadows things for Ian and Rachel. We know that Emily and her children aren’t gone. They just need to be found. This is all leading to Oggy finally getting his name. I love the naming of Oggy and how Emily has no idea what the name means to Rachel.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I want to see this chapter used in the TV series, but I’m not sure if it will be. One of the problems with Outlander Season 8 is going to be time. With the amount of time we’ve had with Rachel and Ian so far, I do think there is some hope that this chapter will be used, too.

We have seen Emily come back into the story. It was done slightly differently to the book, but we’ve had her return and we know that Swiftest of Lizards is Ian’s son. Now we need to see this buildup to what is to come with the naming of Oggy. I think some of this brings closure to the whole thing for Ian and Emily.
