Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter certainly sets the tone for what’s going on at Fraser’s Ridge. Tenants are having to choose sides, and it’s causing some stress. This chapter is all about building up to the war that will reach Fraser’s Ridge. I don’t see much in the way of foreshadowing, except a mention of Lizzie’s malaria possibly coming back.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I don’t really see this chapter being used in the TV series. Hiram Crombie has been introduced, but we don’t know anything about the rest of his family. This is more about Hiram setting the steps for him to switch to Jamie’s side, but I’m not sure we’ll see a lot of that playing out. With so much going on, I wonder if we’ll get time jumps that will lead to Claire’s voiceover telling us some of the things that have happened.

I think Fanny will be introduced, but I don’t think we’ll get as much time with her in the show as we do in the books. That’s been the case for a lot of characters. Just look at how popular Lord John Grey is but how much of his story wasn’t used in Outlander Season 7A. So, with Outlander Season 8 being the last season, I don’t think we’ll get too many of the finer details.
