Outlander Book Club: Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 53 breakdown
Claire and Jamie get a visit from Hiram Crombie in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 53
The new house has a front door that locks, and Hiram Crombie is the first to knock in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 53. This chapter continues the threats on the Ridge.
Hiram isn’t the biggest fan of the Frasers. It all comes down to religion. The Frasers are Catholic and the fisher-folk are not. However, Hiram needs to come to see the Frasers for reasons related to the Revolutionary War and his half-brother.
Cyrus from the previous chapter is a Crombie. Hiram realizes that this could lead to something that helps him in the future.
I think this is more about the plot development of what’s going on at the Ridge during the Revolutionary War more than anything else. There’s not really much foreshadowing in here. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.
What about the adaptation? I don’t think we’ll see this chapter being used. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section of this post.
Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 53.
