Claire and Jamie discuss a letter in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 52

When Jamie gets a letter with a request to join Benjamin Cleveland, he has to figure out an excuse in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 52. Luckily, his chosen excuse works.

Benjamin Cleveland wants to gather a militia to get rid of the Loyalists in the area. He writes to Jamie to request he join Cleveland on the 14th of the next month. Jamie has to find a way to get out of this. After all, now is not the time to leave the Ridge.

What is the right way to do this? That’s something that he needs to figure out.

At the same time, Jamie needs to train the militia that he has built. They are also expected to join Cleveland, but Jamie still has a great excuse for them not to be there. It means he can keep an eye on Cunningham.

This chapter certainly continues the push on the Revolutionary War. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

Will the chapter be used in the TV series? Potentially, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 52.
