Jamie talks to Roger about Frank in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 50
As Roger is getting ready to leave for Charlestown, Jamie has a request in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 50. This leads to a discussion about Frank.
Roger is getting ready to leave for Charlestown. That means putting a barrel together that has the gold in a secret compartment, but he needs to place handles on the barrel. Jamie turns up just in time.
Of course, Jamie is there for more than just to help Roger. He has a request for Roger to meet with someone Jamie may be able to trust. He learned about this man in Frank’s book, which leads to a discussion about whether Frank’s writings can be trusted or not.
This chapter offers a look into Jamie’s mind. He has concerns, and while he doesn’t like Frank, he isn’t going to discard the man’s words. He just wants to know the man is trustworthy in this aspect. There isn’t much in the way of foreshadowing in the chapter, though.
I would like to see the chapter used in the series. I’ll get to my thoughts on whether it can happen or not in the adaptation section of this post.
