Roger talks to Claire about Fanny in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 48

Roger goes to see Claire about Fanny and to talk of the Revolution in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 49. There is also a sweet moment at the end of the chapter for Fanny.

This chapter is mostly quiet. Roger and Claire’s conversation catches us up on a few things, and we see that Claire isn’t the only one who heads out to the garden to talk to the bees. Roger also goes out to talk to them.

We get to find out what Roger is up to next. He’s ready to be ordained, and that means a visit to Charles Town.

However, that’s not all this chapter is about. The ending offers something on the sweeter side. Fanny’s drawing of Jane ends up in the river, but can Brianna fix it?

This chapter sets up the things to come for the characters. I don’t see all that much foreshadowing, except for some conversations to have with Fanny. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

As for the adaptation, I expect some of this will be used, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 48.
