Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter is a letter to Lord Jonn Grey. Bree thanks and accepts the offer of doing a portrait and the safe passage. She goes into the details of why she and Roger are heading to Charlestown, and she says that they will stop in Charlotte on the way, so the safe passage documents can be delivered to someone loyal to Jamie.

The letter doesn’t go into too many details. She shares that they are heading to Charlestown for Roger to be ordained and then they will head to Savannah. This is important as it sets the storyline for Bree to head to Charlestown for a few reasons, but she can’t tell John that they will buy guns while they are there.

Brianna also tells John that the children will be traveling with them. This is likely to make it clear that there will be a full house when they get to Savannah.

I do love the way that the letter ends. Brianna writes “Your Friend, Always.” Despite everything with the war, Bree and John will remain friends. They have this special bond after some time of pretending to be engaged. I love seeing how that continues to grow, even with Bree being gone for three years.
