The Gathering 2023 is held at the World War I Museum in Kansas City. Is there time to look around the museum throughout the weekend?
There is a lot to do throughout the weekend at The Gathering 2023. One thing that you may have on your list as an extra is to visit the World War I Museum. There is plenty to take in while you’re there.
While the museum is the place that the Sasnak City events take place, it’s not included as part of your ticket to the event. You’ll need to buy a separate ticket for this, and you will need to make sure there is time to do everything. I wouldn’t recommend doing the museum while you’re at the convention as you will end up missing a lot.
When to visit the World War I Museum during The Gathering 2023
If you fly in early or you leave later than the convention end date, that’s when you’ll want to head to the museum. Take a few hours to experience everything while you’re there.
During the weekend, you won’t have time. The museum closes before the events finish with the convention, even on the Sunday. You’re not going to have a chance to head in.
The only time you may is if you’re not a Fraser’s Ridge or Lallybroch ticket holder. You may have time on Friday morning to get around the museum. You could head in with fellow attendees to make sure you’re at the museum in time for the opening panel. If you do have one of the top tiers, you’ll need to make sure you’re in for the Friday activities. While the staff will make sure you get your photos and autographs throughout the weekend, it’s easier if you follow the Sasnak City schedule.
