Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

The last we saw of Percy, he was trying to find out where Fergus is. Now, it looks like he’s around for John. This is not a man who John trusts, and that’s probably for good reason. This chapter right here gives us a lot of reasons. What’s not to say that he’s fishing for information to help the French?

I think this chapter foreshadows the danger that is to come for John. Percy says that what he wants is less dangerous than 20 years ago. Just the mention of it makes me think that something is coming for John. Why else would Percy be getting out of dodge now?

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

Will this chapter be used in the TV series, though? I don’t think any of the Percy storylines will come up. The only reason this would come up is if John’s role in the show was made bigger in the final season, and that doesn’t make sense with just 10 episodes in it. There’s also no point in Percy showing up when Fergus and Marsali aren’t in the seventh season.

So, I think we’ll see a skip when it comes to this chapter. There may be some sort of threat uttered to John if that storyline plays out. However, I just don’t think we’ll see all of this and we may suddenly hear that William and Jamie need to save John.
