Percy Wainwright turns up in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 45

If there is one person I don’t trust at all in Outlander Book 9, it’s Percy Wainwright. Okay, I haven’t trusted him from the start.

It’s clear that Percy is up to something. He keeps popping up when you least expect him, and he clearly still has a thing for John. The problem is that John doesn’t trust Percy, and that’s not surprising as you consider what we have learned about their relationship.

I do wonder why he showed up at this point. I think this is more about foreshadowing things to come. Percy talks about danger, and I think that is going to come up very soon for John. I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the foreshadowing section.

One person I don’t expect to see in the TV series is Percy. I don’t think there is going to be any point bringing that storyline into things, especially when we know that Marsali and Fergus won’t show up in Outlander Season 7. I’ll get to my full thoughts on this in the adaptation section of this post.
