Color us unimpressed. We are ready for Droughtlander to be over already, but that’s not going to happen. When will Outlander Season 7B come to STARZ?

We are more than ready to jump into another set of episodes of Outlander. This Droughtlander is not one we wanted, but it is one that we were prepared for. At least, we should have been prepared for.

STARZ made it clear that we’d only get eight episodes of Outlander Season 7 in 2023. The other eight episodes won’t arrive until next year, so we knew not to even bother looking out for the show in October 2023. We just somewhat hoped for a miracle, especially with it being the month that the portals open again.

When will Outlander Season 7B premiere?

How long is the wait going to be? That’s just something that we can’t answer yet. STARZ has not offered any indication as to when we can expect it.

There are a few things at play right now. The first is the current strike action. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA unions are still on strike, and that’s delaying the production and post-production of a lot of shows.

In some good news, Outlander Season 7B isn’t affected. At least, it shouldn’t be. The work should have been completed before the strike action. While the series isn’t a SAG-AFTRA show, the writers are part of the WGA, so anything that involved the writers in post-production couldn’t be done, but that shouldn’t have been a problem. At least, nobody official has said that it was a problem.

STARZ will want to look at how it can spread out content, though. Not all of its shows are SAG-AFTRA shows, but a good bulk of them are. This will put a strain on the early 2024 scheduling plans. We could see Outlander Season 7B moved, whether forward or back, to manage the delays of other shows.
