Just the Outlander chapter

William and John Cinnamon have reached Savannah. They find out where Lord John Grey is staying, but not before they run into Colonel Campbell, who calls William a coward. Of course, William wants to defend who he is, but he also doesn’t really want to fight Campbell. Cinnamon learns that Campbell was responsible for the death of a woman William knew, and he realizes that the Jane William has been calling in his sleep is that woman.

Now off to John, who is angry at William’s knock waking the teething baby. John isn’t that angry when he sees who knocked on the door, and he lets the two men in. William starts to wonder if he can call John “Papa” again and realizes later than he can. However, there is the baby question to deal with.

John explains that the baby, Trevor, is Ben’s son. Amaranthus takes the baby to give the men a chance to talk, and that’s when Cinnamon thanks John and explains that he doesn’t expect any acknowledgment. John is confused, and William explains the situation of Cinnamon being John’s son. Oh if everyone knew!

William leaves the two to talk, and he runs into Amaranthus outside. William notices that Trevor is very much like Ben and Hal, which Amaranthus is relieved to hear about. Ben had sent a letter about the wedding and baby, but Hal had left England before he got it. Amaranthus also shares that she hopes William will stay as John will like it. That all depends on how it goes with Cinnamon.
