There are many great shows to watch on Netflix. Sex Education is one of them. It’s full of comedy, romance, and general life stories. It’s all about a group of teenagers figuring out who they are within themselves and with partners and friends.

We won’t get into the way the fourth season ended. That would mean spoilers, and the season only dropped yesterday. You’ll want time to binge-watch all eight episodes. However, you’ll want to know going into it whether it’s going to be the last season or not.

Has Netflix renewed Sex Education for Season 5?

There is some bad news for fans of the series. The fourth season is the last. It was written that way, though, so it’s more of an ending. Netflix made the difficult decision to end the popular comedy series,

This isn’t due to ratings, though. After all, the show is one of the most popular on the streaming platform. Instead, it’s likely linked to the cast members all getting older.

Emma Mackey had previously mentioned how she wanted to play some more grown-up roles and not be stuck playing a 17-year-old forever. The entire cast is in their late 20s, so it was only natural that the series would have to come to an end soon. Just look at the comments Euphoria and Strangers Things keep getting when it comes to the cast members in their 20s and 30s playing teenagers. There’s only so long that can go on for.

It also feels like a natural ending as the school life comes to an end. It’s hard for high school dramas to continue as they go to college. Many need to opt for a time jump like One Tree Hill to keep going and bring people back to their hometown. It’s sometimes better to just bring a story to an end.
