Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

There isn’t any foreshadowing in this chapter. Maybe there is some in where Jamie and Claire end up being buried, but we don’t know that yet. Diana Gabaldon hasn’t finished writing the series, and Claire and Jamie are very much still alive.

The chapter is more about bringing this whole section to an end. The Ridge now has closure, as Amy becomes the latest member of the community buried in the graveyard. I imagine Mrs. Bug’s spirit being able to rest now as Amy takes up the position of the ghost to protect over the dead.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I’m sure you guessed that I don’t see this chapter being used in the TV series. I’ve been through all the reasons why, so I don’t think I need to again.

As much as I don’t think that it will be used, I would love to see it. I want this storyline to play out to show how the entire Ridge comes together for the loss of one of their own. This is a small community. Everybody knows everybody, and they are there for each other in a time of need.
