Will Tanya Reynolds be in Sex Education Season 4?
Tanya Reynolds plays Lily Iglehart in Sex Education. She is the school’s “weirdo” and we love her. Will she be in Sex Education Season 4?
There is no doubt that Lily is one of the best characters in Sex Education, especially when it comes to finding one’s identity. She is the school’s “weirdo,” and we have seen her go through stages where she wants to stop liking the things that she does because of how others see her. Yet, she grows more and more confident in herself as the third season progresses.
Now we’re ready to see what comes next for Lily in Sex Education Season 4. As Outlander fans, Tanya Reynolds may have been the reason you even got into the series. The question now is whether Reynolds is back for the new season.
Lily is not in Sex Education Season 4
The alien erotica author is not going to be in the new season of the series. Shortly after the fourth season was confirmed, Radio Times broke the disappointing news. This also followed the departure of Patricia Allison, who plays Lily’s girlfriend, Ola.
The departure is a creative decision, although one that Reynolds understood at the time. With a big ensemble cast, some characters need to depart for the newer ones to come in. And there are a fair few newer characters in the fourth and final season. It’s just disappointing for those who adored Lily and what she stood for in the series.
It will be relatively easy for the series to write out the character. At the end of the third season, the doors of the school closed for good and students had to go elsewhere to finish their studies. While some may return, others would leave for good, as a natural progression in life.
Sex Education Season 4 is now streaming on Netflix.
