If you’re looking for more Scottish goodness, you’ll want to watch Granite Harbour. Will there be a second season of the Aberdeen-set series?
Scotland is the home to many great TV shows. Some of them are time-travel love stories like Outlander, while others bring us another crime tale. One of the latest crime dramas is Granite Harbour.
The three-part first season introduced us to RMP Sergeant Davis Lindo, played by Romario Simpson. After his stint in the Army, he joined the police force, where he was sent to Aberdeen. It wasn’t the Scotland Yard he hoped for, but he made sure he proved his worth.
He teamed up with DS Lara “Bart” Bartlett, played by Hannah Donaldson. The two worked together on a case that was far more than it initially seemed. If you happened to miss it, you can watch it on BBC iPlayer in the UK and on BritBox in the U.S. and Canada.
Will Granite Harbour Season 2 happen?
We certainly loved the series. There’s no doubt that fans want more, and the great news is that BBC Scotland, BBC One, and BBC iPlayer (all worked together on the series) have agreed. There will be a Season 2 of the crime drama.
We don’t have many details of what to expect just yet. All we know is that there will be three episodes again, and Lindo and Bart will need to work together to get to the bottom of it. There’s a new crime wave in Aberdeen, and the two need to figure out where it started.
This is a series that will film in 2023. It’s not affected by the strike action in the United States, as the production is fully British. The series will film in Aberdeen and Glasgow and is set to arrive on BBC Scotland, BBC One, and BBC iPlayer in 2024.
Granite Harbour is available to stream on BritBox in the United States and Canada.
