Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

This chapter doesn’t foreshadow anything in my mind. For me, this chapter is all about showing how people act in grief, what they would do when there is an emergency, and how everyone has a place on the Ridge. We get to see that Bree’s place isn’t anywhere medical, but she still has her purpose—and Claire suggests that she looks after the children. Meanwhile, Claire knows the women she can rely on to help with preparing Amy’s body.

Then there’s Jamie who understand the loss that Aidan is going through. He wants to get the bear, but he also needs to help this boy. We see Jamie’s honesty and empathy, and it’s such a beautiful sight.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

As much as I would love to see the chapter adapted to see how the Ridge works together, I doubt it will happen. I just don’t see the whole Amy part being included in the series. It’s important for this section of the book and for Aidan’s development afterward, but it’s not important for the overall story in the book.

Outlander Season 8 will need to focus on the bigger storylines and find a way to bring them to an end. I think it means moments like this chapter are going to be skipped over.
