Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter

While I don’t see much in the way of foreshadowing just yet, there is something that could come up. Germain mentions how Fanny touched him when she said the phrase. It’s clear that she knows the meaning, and she seems to touch him in a suggestive way. Is it possible that Fanny has a crush on Germain?

This could be so, or it could be Fanny’s upbringing coming out. She will have seen Jane act in certain ways for her work. Fanny may think that this is normal, and she will need the Frasers’ guidance to help avoid problems. However, I get a sense that we could see Fanny married to either Germain or Jemmy before the books come to an end.

Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter

I don’t see this chapter being used in the TV series. As cute as it would be, Germain isn’t the character from the books in the series. He hasn’t bene utilized in the same way, and I don’t see the Fergus and Marsali storyline playing out in the show the way that it does in the books. At least, not all of it.

We know Fergus and Marsali won’t be in Outlander Season 7 at all. For Germain’s story to be used in Season 8, we’d need to see Fergus, Marsali, and the Henri-Christian storyline play out toward the end of Season 7. It doesn’t look like that will happen, and with only 10 episodes to the season, it likely makes sense to keep the number of characters to a minimum to focus on the bigger plot points.
