Claire has The Talk with Germain in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 25

After having The Talk with Jemmy, Claire now has to have The Talk with Germain in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 25. It all comes from a certain phrase that Germain wants to figure out.

This phrase is one that most of us now know, and we learned the meaning of it from a young age. Voulez-vous coucher avec moi? is a line in a popular song, and whether you remember the original or you know the cover of it thanks to Moulin Rouge, you’ll get the song stuck in your head right now.

Claire didn’t have the song to go by, but she does know the meaning of the phrase. Speak French fluently will do that, and she spends this chapter having to explain a few things to Germain. It’s a cute chapter as we see this motherly side to her, and I’m glad to see that she didn’t tell Germain not to say anything to anyone about the talk.

The chapter doesn’t foreshadow all that much. Well, I do spot something that could happen, but there’s nothing major for the plot right now.

Will it be used in the TV series? I doubt it, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 25.
