There are a lot of TV shows out there that involve time travel. Making History is one of them, and it’s something for Outlander fans during Droughtlander.

One thing that Outlander keeps showing us is that the big events in history can’t be changed. But what if they could? We see that storyline play out time and time again. Making History has that, but it’s not the intention of the people who are traveling through time.

This is only a one-season series. It was canceled too soon, but that’s a FOX show for you. That doesn’t mean the first season isn’t worth checking out, and it’s sure to get you through just a little more of Droughtlander.

What is Making History about?

The FOX series followed a group of friends from two different centuries. They end up in the time of the American Revolutionary War, where their actions end up seeing the start of history changing. That’s not necessarily a good thing. After all, shouldn’t America get the opportunity to become America?

Dan Chambers is a janitor and is the main character time traveling. He wants to get history back on track, but it looks like his actions lead to far more consequences.

Why watch Making History as an Outlander fan?

Let’s just start with the fact that Making History is set during the time of the Revolutionary War. That’s where we are in the Outlander series, and it’s fun to see how things play out for the various people we’ve come to know and love.

This series brings in a couple of faces we haven’t seen in the Outlander books yet. We meet John Hancock and Sam Adams. We also get to meet Paul Revere.

The first part of the series is all about making sure the Revolutionary War happens. Things are happening around them that shouldn’t, and Dan and his friends need to get to the bottom of it while rallying the troops.

Al Capone also comes into the story. You’ll certainly want to watch the series to find out how that makes sense. After all, the whole season doesn’t just remain in 1775. The fun of time travel is getting to see different time periods.
