The Kingdom 2023: What happens at the War Lord event?
Friday night at The Kingdom is all about the War Lord event for the Bebbanburg tier. Here’s everything to expect at these Friday events.
If you get the Bebbanburg tier at The Kingdom, you get to go to the War Lord event during the Friday night. There is food available, so there’s no need to find something in between the day’s events for everyone and this evening part of the convention. There is also an open bar, but it is worth having some change for tips.
What goes on while you’re at the War Lord, though? What makes this such an amazing opportunity, and why is it worth getting this tier? Here’s everything you need to know.
An opportunity to talk to the cast at The Kingdom 2023
War Lord gives the Bebbanburg tier members time to talk to the cast. At previous events, there has been one cast member per table, but 2023 saw a change. There were two to three cast members depending on the group. After all, there were four tables and nine cast members.
This was a chance to hear their stories. This year, with the SAG-AFTRA strike and the cast members honoring that, there wasn’t as much that was allowed to be asked about particular shows, but you can’t always top the cast from talking about things. The great thing about having two or three cast members, though, is that they can share their stories together.
For example, Toby and Arnas were together at their table and could share all about living together and their lives outside of the show together. Eliza and Harry were teamed up, which was a great opportunity to hear about their time together and then Eliza seeing the Seven Kings Must Die premiere and supporting Harry and seeing him grow up on the show.
The chat at each of the tables takes about 20 minutes, although that includes selfie time, so you’re getting about 15 minutes of chatting and then selfies with each member of the cast.
