The Frasers meet Mrs. Cunningham in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 15

Mandy meets the Wicked Witch in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 15. Well, she meets Mrs. Cunningham.

If there is anyone we need to worry about giving the game away about the future, it’s Mandy. She says things without thinking all that much, and she certainly has a temper on her. Mandy is most definitely Jamie Fraser’s granddaughter!

This chapter starts with some everyday life happening as Claire makes yeast. It’s a boring process for Mandy, but she impatiently waits until Jamie needs her. I love that he’s thought about her size when it comes to the privy, and he’s also thinking about things that could happen in the future. Like William returning.

What nobody gets ready for is for Mrs. Cunningham to turn up at the house. She certainly seems like the Wicked Witch of the West.

This chapter foreshadows a few things for Mrs. Cunningham, and I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section. There is also some foreshadowing for William.

Will it be used in the TV series, though? I’m not too sure, and I’ll get to my thoughts on that in the adaptation section.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 15.
