Foreshadowing in the Outlander chapter
The war is still going on, and I think this chapter is more about reminding us of that. The Frasers are out of the way for now, but that won’t be the case forever.
I am surprised that Marsali and Fergus want Germain back already. They sent him with the Frasers for safety as the war was close to them. Wouldn’t it make more sense to keep Germain where he is now? Is this baby brain making Marsali do things she wouldn’t usually do?
Adapting the Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone chapter
I doubt we’ll see this chapter used in the TV series. I’m not even sure we’ll get much of Germain as we know Marsali and Fergus won’t be in Outlander Season 7B. This could completely change what happens with Henri-Christian and how Germain feels guilty for it all.
I also don’t see the need for the letters to tell us the story. There will be other ways for the writers to manage that. TV shows need to be handled differently when it comes to showing us the events.
