Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with Claire and Fanny in the surgery of the new house. Building has come a long way, and there is a space for Claire to get set up. She allows Fanny to read some of the old case files, but Fanny has to promise not to read anything about current patients to protect their privacy. I love that Claire is still all about patient-doctor privacy, and that includes to those who she mentors.

John Quincy Myers turns up with some bees and letters. Later, Jamie is worried that there’s a letter from John. Although, it could also be hope that there is a letter from John. It’s not all that clear how Jamie feels right now. The main reveal of the letters though is that there’s something for Germain and Fanny. We can guess Germain’s letter, but why is Fanny getting something?

Claire does go out to see where JQM is setting up the bees. He is waiting for her to bless them, and he explains that the bees need to know all about the news on the Ridge. Claire should talk to them regularly. If Claire doesn’t keep them updated of everything, they may decide to fly away out of offence.
