Just the Outlander chapter

The chapter starts with William getting to Mouth Josiah Plantation, where he finds the house in shambles. However, there is the smell of meat roasting, so he knows that someone is there. Sure enough, we come across John Cinnamon again, and now Cinnamon’s Indian friend, Manoke, is there.

Cinnamon, who had been William’s former Indian scout, had come to Mt. Josiah to find Manoke. Everyone is overjoyed about reconnecting, and William is invited for some food.

As they talk, William thinks about everything that is going on in his life. He needs to find out what happened to his cousin Ben. At the same time, he thinks about all the things that he cannot change, such as Rachel marrying Ian and Jamie being his biological father. He even thinks about his inheritance and what to do now that he has turned 21. He could return to England.

This is when the talk of Cinnamon’s biological father comes up. Cinnamon says that Lord John Grey is his father. This story isn’t true. We have to know that, right? However, Cinnamon believes it, and William feels jealous that Cinnamon is John’s biological son when William is not.

As William thinks about what to do, he realizes that he needs to figure out what’s going on with Ben. That means finding Lord John Grey and Hal, so a trip to Savannah is in order. He suggests that Cinnamon comes with him to meet Lord John Grey in person.
