Outlander Book Club: Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 8 breakdown
Roger and Jamie get a chance to talk in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 8
There is a lot going on in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 8. The biggest is when Jamie and Roger catch up on events that have happened.
A lot of the start of the chapter involves people on the Ridge. They are visiting for help with ailments, to find out about the MacKenzies, and to help build the house. We get to see this community come together.
However, it’s clear that there are still people against Claire. Those who are coming to live on the Frasers’ land should probably consider not biting their nose off to spite their face. It hasn’t worked out too well for some others who have tried to go up against Claire and Jamie. It won’t go well for those going up against Roger and Bree.
The biggest part of the chapter is Roger and Jamie getting a chance to talk. I don’t get much in the way of foreshadowing, but the chapter certainly brings us some plot development. It’s all about getting us started in the real story at this point.
I would love to see some of the chapter used. There won’t be much time, so I can accept that some of the conversations about what happened when Roger was in the past would need to remain off-screen. However, I want to see the conversation about Jenny and I think the bit with Captain Cunningham will be worth having.
Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 8.
