Outlander Season 7, Episode 8 ratings: Linear ratings tick down again
The Outlander Season 7A finale brought us some major cliffhangers. It also brought us another tick down in the linear ratings.
We went into the Outlander Season 7A finale with questions about whether Jamie would survive. The opening brought us the answers, but now we have a lot of questions that we have to wait the rest of the year for.
Just how did the final episode of 2023 perform in the live ratings? Did the week off affect anything? Here’s a look at the linear ratings.
Outlander Season 7A finale live ratings
The linear ratings saw another tick down. According to TV Series Finale, the total audience was down to 0.334 million, dropping 12% from the previous episode. The demo was down to 0.2, down 33%.
This is only the linear ratings. The metrics only count those who watch live on the network when the episode airs for the first time. They don’t count those who watch via the app. The good news is STARZ does count those numbers. In fact, the numbers who watch via the app tend to count a little more than the Neilsen ratings since there’s no need to worry about what advertisers see.
Is it possible that the break the previous week affected things? That is possible. After all, there were a few people confused about the last of episode on Friday, Aug. 4 and some thought that Episode 7 was the last. However, I think there will have been a lot of people tuning in on the app as soon as possible as we all got answers about whether Jamie was still alive. He looked dead on the battlefield.
We now head into another Droughtlander. The good news is STARZ still has Men in Kilts Season 2 for us, and those episodes are worth watching. There are a few other shows to check out across various streaming platforms, too.
