The family eats dinner together in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 6
With the MacKenzies back in the 18th century, it’s time for everyone to gather for dinner in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 6. This chapter is filled with beautiful family moments.
There is a lot for people to catch up on. Bree and Roger need to learn that William knows the truth about Jamie being his father and find out more about Fanny, while Claire and Jamie are still learning about things from the future.
This chapter seems a little bit of that, but it’s also a time for the family to be a family. Young Ian and Rachel also join for dinner, giving Rachel a chance to meet Jem and Mandy and for some fun conversations about baby names.
There is a little bit of foreshadowing in this chapter, and I’ll get to that in the foreshadowing section.
I expect we’ll see at least some of this chapter used in the TV series. It may not be in the exact same way it’s all set out, though, and I’ll get to that in the adaptation section.
Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 6.
