3 best Brianna moments in Outlander Season 7, Episode 8
Brianna had to say goodbye to her husband in Outlander Season 7, Episode 8. Here are her three standout moments from the midseason finale.
We didn’t get a lot of time with Brianna in Outlander Season 7, Episode 8. A lot of the focus was on the 18th century as the Second Battle of Saratoga took place. However, we got enough time in the 20th century to see where the storyline will go in the second half of the season.
It’s time to break down Brianna’s best moments in the midseason finale. This list is in the order that the events happened.
Brianna’s best moments in Outlander Season 7, Episode 8
Not arguing with Roger about going back
Roger made it clear that he needed to go after Jemmy. Of course he did. Any good parent would have done the same thing.
What may have been surprising for some was that Bree didn’t offer to go as well. It’s not like Roger really gave her a chance to suggest it. He made it clear that Bree should stay in the 20th century with Mandy.
I love that Bree didn’t argue with him. Sometimes, she can be stubborn and she would usually want to keep Jemmy safe, but she has another child to think of. She needed to stay in the 20th century with Mandy as that would be safer for them. She shows that she’s putting her trust in Roger to find their son.
Telling Buck he didn’t need to go
Buck offers to go through the stones as well. He says that it would be to his time, where they would have sent him back to anyway.
However, Bree makes it clear that she would never force Buck to go back through the stones. As much as she didn’t trust him or like him at first, she’s come to understand who he is. She also knows that if someone wants to stay in a new time period, they should be free to do that. It’s not like Bree and Roger raced to get back to their own time period, and Claire has remained in the past.
She made it clear that it would be Buck’s choice. I love that she gave him that freedom.
Giving out the gems
Knowing that they would need gemstones to go back through the stones, Bree rushed over to a drawer. It turns out that she had been collecting some gemstones. It’s so much easier to do that in the 20th century than it is in the 18th century.
She did it without Roger knowing, it seems. Of course, she was never really planning on using them, but she had them just in case. With everything that has happened in their life, she wanted to make sure they had something just in case. Well, that “just in case” moment has turned up.
