Just the Outlander chapter

Ian takes Bree and Jamie to his cabin so that Bree can meet Rachel. Rachel is there with the baby and Jenny is there too.

Jamie and Ian go outside to deal with what they have of the deer. Jamie makes a very smart remark about flies in the house. Bree, meanwhile, goes in to see Rachel. She immediately sees the love between Rachel and Ian and it’s something that she notes is good about them.

Bree also gets to see Jenny again. Bree is immediately transported to Lallybroch, both in her own time and in the time that she met Jenny. She also thinks of Ian Murray.

There is a discussion of Oggy’s name. There isn’t a name yet. Ian and Rachel can’t think of one that suits him.

As Jamie comes in to ask about the beer, Jenny tells him that it’s gone. However, as she sees his bloody footprint and hears from Bree that there was a bear, Jenny notes that she will likely have to give him some beer. Being the older sister never goes away. Jamie will always be her baby brother.

At the end of the chapter, Bree wants to know more about Rachel being a Quaker. It’s only a natural thing to wonder about, especially with what she knows about Ian. She has no idea about everything that Ian has faced with the death of Mrs. Bug and war, so she won’t know some of the more peaceful decisions he has made and the way he has tried to balance his warrior side and his peaceful side for Rachel.
