Is a new episode of Outlander on tonight? (August 18, 2023)
We need more Outlander. The previous episode ended with a major cliffhanger, and now we need answers. Will we get them tonight, Friday, Aug. 18?
It’s Thursday, and that means we prepare for a new episode of Outlander. With the way the previous episode ended, there is no doubt that you’re getting ready to stay up until midnight. Well, 9 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Aug. 17 if you’re on the west coast.
Stop right there. There’s no point in staying up if it’s just to watch a new episode of this time traveling drama. However, if you’re also waiting to watch Men in Kilts, you’ll want to stay up and tune in for that. There isn’t a new episode of Outlander on tonight.
When will Outlander Season 7 return?
Wait, you mean to say that the previous episode was the finale? That’s how the series chose to end things? It does feel somewhat similar to Season 6 where it ended with Jamie and Young Ian racing off to save Claire.
It’s not quite the finale. There are more episodes of Outlander Season 7, but they’re not going to air any time soon. That cliffhanger was strategic as the midseason finale. We now have a few months to wait until the next episodes.
We know that the remaining eight episodes of the season will air sometime in 2024. STARZ has already confirmed that. What STARZ hasn’t done is tell us when in 2024. The current strike action shouldn’t have affected anything as only the writers strike affects this show, but STARZ may want to spread out content to deal with some delays that are likely to come up.
Until then, we’re in Droughtlander. It’s all about finding other shows to watch to deal with the break. There are a few that we suggest, and we’ll share them in the coming weeks.
