Jamie and Bree head out to Ian’s cabin in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 2

It’s time for life at the Ridge to get on as normal in Outlander Book 9, Chapter 2. That means Bree gets up early to go hunting with her father. Meanwhile, Roger takes some time to learn about the people at the Ridge.

I love that Bree and Roger are immediately throwing themselves back into their old lives. It’s almost like they haven’t been away, except for that there are new people at the Ridge. Roger knows what he wants to do now that he’s back, and he needs to get straight into that role.

Meanwhile, Bree wants to see her cousin, Ian. She also wants to meet Jenny again, who she met years earlier when she first came through the stones.

This chapter certainly has some moments of foreshadowing in it. I’ll get to my thoughts on those moments in the foreshadowing section.

What about using this chapter in the TV series? I have a feeling that some of it will be used. After all, it’s setting up some big storylines for the book to come.

Let’s dive into Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Chapter 2.
